Virtual and Mixed Reality

I have been using and developing for VR, since the recent VR-wave took off in 2016 with the release of the Oculus Rift and the later emergence of the ‘Metaverse’. During my PhD-studies, I created my own augmented reality prototype system, as no commercial system were available. Beside my work as a consultant, I work on developing a Virtual Reality game for the Meta Quest platform. Through this project, I have gained an even deeper insight and expertise in developing for the Quest platform.

AI and ChatGPT

The recent disruption in AI and large language models (LLMs) has unlocked immense potential, transforming how we interact with technology. I have experimented with these advancements, and developed an ‘MTBot’ chatbot that can assist you in determining whether my services meets your project’s needs. Furthermore, I’ve created Voice-To-Program experiment that enables users to implement and run small Python programs or scripts simply by speaking to the system. These innovations exemplify the growing possibilities presented by the AI revolution.

Mechanical design and prototyping

Throughout my career, I have created several mechanical designs, ranging from housings for mechanical encoders, to test-fixtures for medical devices. I can go from idea, to 3D CAD-design, to 3D-printed prototype for a fraction of the cost of traditional prototyping methods.

Robotics

During my Post Doctorate studies, I led a great team of PhD’s in the development of an arm-exoskeleton, with unprecedented abilities and usability for individuals with whole-body paralysis. The exoskeleton featured a compact design, relative to it’s performance. Each joint had incremental and absolute encoders that enabled efficient and reliable PID-control and the control system was based on the Robot Operating System (ROS).
